1. What Is This Blog About?

The topic of this blog is a question I’ve been asked more than once, and one that has intrigued me since I began my own journey as an author. So what is it about? What do you want to know? A lot of people seem to be interested in knowing the basics of my story. They ask questions like “How did you come up with the idea for your book?” or “Who are you writing it for?” Well, the answer to those questions is that I really don’t have any idea.

This blog is about my life in rural southern New Hampshire and the surrounding towns. I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and teacher. It is also about my love of nature, reading, writing, cooking, sewing, crafts, art, photography, and the great outdoors. Pages Sunday, December 6, 2014 A Family Christmas I started thinking about this post a couple weeks ago, but I didn’t want to write it because I wasn’t sure if it would be too long or too short. oh hey an austin based lifestyle blog by corrin foster

2. Why Should You Read This Blog?

My blog is about life and people in the world. It’s about the people and their stories, as well as their struggles and triumphs. I’m an open book, so you can read about my thoughts, experiences, and feelings. I’m just a regular guy who talks about things I feel passionate about, or that have affected me deeply. I hope to make you smile, laugh, cry, and think. I am not a professional writer; So I am not a journalist; And I am simply a guy who talks about things he feels strongly about. oh hey an austin based lifestyle blog by corrin foster

3. What Makes This Blog Unique?

The blog is written by a mother of two young children, who also has an older child from a previous marriage. We have lived in the same town for 30 years and raise our kids here. When we had to move to a new school district, we started this blog so we could keep up with all the news and gossip about our old friends. Sunday, September 22, 2009 I am going to write a bit about a conversation I had recently with a friend of mine.

4. How to Build a Community Around This Blog

oh hey an austin based lifestyle blog by corrin foster So, you want to start a community around your blog. Awesome! I’ve been doing it for years. But how? What do you need to know before you start? Here are the three things that will make a community happen around your blog. A community is people who like your blog and share information about it with other people. The first step to building a community is getting people who like your blog to share their opinions, experiences, and knowledge about your topic. This is hard work.

5. How to Build a Business Around This Blog

This post was originally published on the author’s personal blog. Last week I had the pleasure of speaking at the first ever Women in Leadership Summit in Portland, Oregon. The summit featured four inspiring women from all over the world who are using their passion and talents to make a difference in their communities and in the world. I had the opportunity to ask them how they got started, what they did after they got started, and what advice they would give to other people who want to start something of their own. Here is the short version of their answers
